Graham was born and grew up in Bath, he left school at 16 to join the Royal Navy where he spent 10 years specialising in telecommunications. Graham's boyhood love of painting was revitalised in 1994 after seeing an episode of "Art Works" with David Bellamy. Graham spent the next few years producing more mud than magic and eventually discovered pastels in 1998. Sorry David!
Graham soon found he could produce the stunning evocative MOODY VIEWS he is now becoming known for, please go to the Landscape and Seascape Gallery pages to see examples. Graham is available for demonstrations and workshops to art groups and societies and also runs his own 1 day workshops at his home studio in Wiltshire where all materials are provided. Grahams workshops are run on a relaxed, friendly, "paint along with" method, where we complete two paintings. Please click on the "Events Calendar" button above for all information on forthcoming events.
The last DVD "Pastel Panoramas" has been discontinued due to a change in the materials we have used for over 15 years following unsustainable price increases in raw materials, blamed on brexit. I have put 16 new paintings on the youtube link as step by step demonstration guides. These use my new sets of Rembrandt pastels and the Caran D'ache pastel pencils for the detail. You can follow these step by step guides on the youtube link above, they are at the bottom of the list,in red. My studio workshops are held in my studio at Yarnbrook, Trowbridge. Workshops are generally two complete paintings with all materials and tools supplied and included in the price. All you bring is your lunch. If you would like to be added to the mailing list drop me an email via the contact tab above.
