| Grahams Moody Views Workshops are now being held at his home studio in Hilperton Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
Starting at 10 and finishing around 3 pm. All pastels and papers are supplied and are included in the price. The basic outline drawings are already printed onto the pastel paper so there are no excuses! The workshops are held on a "paint along with" method where the order of the day is having fun. Tea and coffee is available throughout, also at no extra cost. Price of the workshops is £25.00 Per person per day. Grahams "MOODY VIEWS" Pastel Demonstrations are very popular. The first half contains a brief description of materials and their benefits, planning a picture, use of light and shade, tonal perspective and adding drama and atmosphere to a painting. Graham will do a full seascape painting demonstrating the methods of blending pastel to produce the Moody Views and stormy skies. After a short break for refreshments Graham will complete a full landscape painting adding more drama and atmosphere, with tips on painting water and trees. The show concludes with tips on mounting and framing finished pastels, use of fixative and finally any questions. The Further Techniques in Pastel DVD takes the techniques learnt in the first DVD a step further as we complete a Lakeland farm house scene (Farm at Side Howe) and a snow scene (Autumn Snow) also on my gallery page. The 3rd DVD shows in close up detail how to paint trees with foliage. The first painting is "A hint of Autumn and the second "Summer at last".
